Job Title: Physical Therapist
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Physical Therapist, you will work closely with patients of all ages, helping them overcome physical limitations, recover from injuries, and improve overall mobility. By designing and implementing personalized treatment plans, you will play a crucial role in promoting patient healing, reducing pain, and enhancing quality of life. Responsibilities:
- Perform patient evaluations to assess physical limitations, identify impairments, and establish personalized treatment goals.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques, exercises, and equipment.
- Regularly evaluate and re-assess patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients on proper body mechanics, injury prevention, and self-management techniques.
- Instruct and supervise patients in therapeutic exercises, stretches, and conditioning routines.
- Administer manual therapy techniques, such as massage, joint mobilization, and manipulation to alleviate pain and increase range of motion.
- Utilize therapeutic modalities, including heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and hydrotherapy, to facilitate healing and pain relief.
- Monitor and document patient progress, including changes in function, pain levels, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Stay up-to-date on advances in physical therapy techniques, research, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards, as well as relevant healthcare regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid New Jersey license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
- Proven experience in evaluating and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and orthopedic conditions.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
- Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Empathy and compassion toward patients experiencing pain or discomfort.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
