Project / Role Goals

The DoorDash Commerce Platform provides products and services to help merchants grow, run, and operate their businesses across various channels-whether in-store or off-premise. Our la carte suite of solutions helps merchants scale their capabilities, drive more sales, and deliver a best-in-class customer experience anytime, anywhere guests engage with their brand.

We're looking for a contract designer to support high-priority projects in this space. This role will focus on ensuring merchants can operate a low-friction, positive ROI business while deepening customer relationships over time. Experience in designing CRM tools, marketing campaigns, reporting, or similar areas will be valuable.

Key Responsibilities

• Explore complex, ambiguous problem spaces and collaborate with the team to define opportunities and chart a path forward.
• Leverage data and insights from quantitative metrics and qualitative feedback to inform iterative design decisions.
• Own the end-to-end design process across multiple products and projects, including user flows, interaction, and visual design.
• Clearly articulate design thinking throughout the process, participating in reviews and work sessions to refine solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as UX Research, Product Management, Engineering, Business Analytics, Operations, and Marketing.
• Provide implementation guidance to engineers to ensure that features launch with the highest quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Product/UX Designer in a relevant industry.
• Strong ability to bring clarity to ambiguous problem spaces through a structured design process (e.g., design sprints).
• A passion for high-quality, well-crafted visual design , with strong attention to detail.
• Self-aware, curious, and humble in approach, fostering collaboration within teams.
• Prior experience in multi-sided marketplaces, e-commerce, and complex workflow tools is a significant plus.
