Success as the Commercial Electrical Estimator means accurately estimating costs for commercial electrical installations and efficiently managing projects from inception to completion. This role entails full ownership of projects from initiation to completion, with a focus on enhancing cost-estimation methods to minimize disparities between projected and actual expenses.

Responsibilities for the Commercial Electrical Estimator: - Liaise with clients to understand project requirements, including pricing, invoicing, and project management tasks.
- Analyze blueprints to determine optimal wire lengths and outlet placements adhering to electrical codes.
- Research market prices to estimate material and fixture costs for electrical projects accurately.
- Review subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure accuracy in project cost estimation.
- Assess labor requirements for each project to determine project feasibility.
- Evaluate potential profitability of electrical projects to support bidding decisions.
- Prepare and submit competitive project bids following established guidelines.
- Manage awarded projects and provide assistance in project management when not involved in estimating tasks.
- Projects you will complete, but not limited to:
- Interior and exterior lighting repairs and upgrades
- Parking lot lighting
- Metering replacements and upgrades
- Panel replacements and upgrades
- EV chargers
- Power additions and upgrades
- Aluminum wiring remediation
- Equipment wiring
Requirements for the Commercial Electrical Estimator: - At least 8 years of field experience preferred.
- Preferably 3 years of estimating experience.
- Ability to interpret blueprints accurately.
- Proven track record of quickly and efficiently pricing jobs.
- Sound knowledge of electrical codes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Adept with technology.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Familiarity with Service Titan is a definite plus.
- Focused self-starter who thrives in a team environment.
