A family in Verona is looking for a wonderful part-time, live-out nanny for their three children, ages 4 years old, 2 years old and 6 months old. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, with some flexibility for date night care. The schedule is flexible, depending on the nanny’s availability.
Duties include:
Preparing breakfast and lunch for the family. Creating engaging activities for the children, including taking them to the library, park, and playdates. Keeping a list of food items that are running low. Doing the children’s laundry. Vacuuming and tidying up after the children. Nanny must be able to swim and travel with the family. No pet care is required.
Ideal nanny:
The ideal nanny for this family is warm, nurturing, and loves what they do. She must be able to “read the room” and know when Mom needs help. She must be creative and easygoing with a positive outlook. Looking for someone who is available to travel with the family on occasional weekends to their second home. The nanny will be working in partnership with Mom, as Dad works 14-18 hour days. The ideal nanny will create boundaries and be able to redirect when necessary.
About the children:
This 4-year-old is charismatic, intelligent, and strong-willed. She loves playing and goes to swim lessons, dance, and yoga classes after school. This 2-year-old is an easy, loving, bright, affectionate busybody! She enjoys drawing and playing on the playground (especially swinging). She can have some separation anxiety for the first few weeks. The older two children love movement-based play. This newest member of the family is 6 months old.
About the parents:
These parents are hardworking, kind, generous, and family-oriented. They hold firm boundaries with the children without yelling. They help the children take breaks when necessary but never separate them for a timeout. If a toy or activity is causing issues, they will stop the activity or remove the toy until there is a resolution.
