VetsEZ is seeking a full-time remote Web Designer to join our team in creating and maintaining visually appealing and user-friendly web interfaces for various projects. This role involves designing and optimizing web interfaces for federal government projects, ensuring high usability, accessibility, and visual appeal. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their web design skills and a keen eye for detail.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

• Design visually appealing and user-friendly web interfaces, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with developers to implement and optimize designs for various web applications and platforms.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Ensure web designs are responsive and accessible across various devices and browsers.
• Maintain and update existing websites, ensuring they remain current and functional.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest web design trends, tools, and technologies.
• Provide input on user experience (UX) best practices and contribute to creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all design processes and projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in web design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, Figma, or similar.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers.
• Experience with responsive design and ensuring websites are accessible across various devices and browsers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and user-friendly web designs.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience working on government projects is a plus.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) is a plus.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance if required.
