VirtuCare is a urologist-led, innovative, and rapidly scaling healthcare company based in Nashville, Tennessee. We’re rethinking how specialty care is delivered in rural and community hospitals across the country.
We’re seeking an exceptional urologist to relocate to the Nashville / Middle Tennessee area for a hybrid position that blends meaningful telemedicine work with limited, predictable travel.
From your home base in Nashville, you’ll spend most of your time providing virtual mentorship and consultative support to advanced practice providers (APPs) in several of our partner hospitals. There’s no billing, test ordering, or busywork —just focused clinical collaboration that allows you to practice at the top of your license.
Then, 4–8 days each month , you’ll travel to partner hospitals to perform on-site surgical and procedural care. Cases are primarily bread-and-butter urology , with opportunities to perform more complex procedures such as robotic or pelvic surgery based on your comfort and experience.

On-Site Coverage: 1–2 days per month at one or more partner hospitals, with the option to expand to two 2-day blocks per month as patient demand grows.
Telehealth Coverage: Up to 20 hours per week in structured 4-hour blocks, supporting APPs and local providers with consults, follow-ups, and case reviews.
Flexibility: Physicians may apply for on-site only, telehealth only, or full hybrid coverage.
Education & Licensure
MD or DO; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology.
Active or eligible medical license in Tennessee or Kentucky.
Clinical Skills
Competent in core general urology procedures such as:
Cystoscopy, TURP, TURBT, ureteroscopy, stent placement, lithotripsy
Hydrocelectomy, vasectomy, prostate biopsy, suprapubic catheter placement
Strong telehealth and communication skills for structured virtual consults.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience mentoring APPs or practicing in rural/community settings.
Subspecialty interests (BPH, prosthetics, oncology, female pelvic health).
Familiarity with hybrid (on-site + telehealth) practice models.
