Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Organize, develop, or source training programs to meet specific training needs for all positions within the company.
  • Work closely with Training and Development Manager to gain alignment and ensure on track completion of assignments.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other key staff members to develop material to support machine optimization and staff training.
  • Build training materials including, but not limited to, presentations, job-aids, job instructions, videos, observations, and other evaluation assessments.
  • Develop training material in accordance with training standards.
  • Utilize the A.D.D.I.E.S. Model of Instructional Design to plan and monitor Training Development projects.
  • Utilize the Kirkpatrick 4-Levels of Training Evaluation to support training development & business KPI’s.
  • Work with SMEs to breakdown and identify best-practices for training materials and job aids.
  • Work with SMEs to test all developed materials to ensure accuracy and completion.
  • Work with SMEs to identify tasks that will assist in mapping out learning plans for each production position.
  • Work with leaders on long-term solutions to self-sustain the training going forward.
  • Coach Production Trainers on best practices of training delivery and record keeping.
  • Ensure the proper platform is utilized for tracking purposes (i.e., Alchemy).
  • Ensure compliance with corporate/plant safety standards and with applicable regulatory requirements while following the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Attend & participate in Daily Management Systems (DMS) meetings.
  • Ability to work various hours, across all shifts, and to support plant goals as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Training and Development Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated organizational, detail orientated and observational skills
  • Ability to get certified in TWI Training (provided by the company)
  • Moderate computer skills (Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerPoint, Alchemy etc.)
  • Basic mathematical calculation skills
  • Ability to read and follow oral and written instrctions in the English language
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment - often with limited supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school or equivalency diploma.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Training-Within-Industry Job Instruction Certification.
  • Understanding of the Training related KPIs.
  • Demonstrated visual editing experience (procedures, videos, presentations)
  • Experience with eLearning Authoring tools (Captivate, Articulate 360, Camtasia, etc.)
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (Alchemy)
  • Experience in Food Manufacturing
  • Have the physical ability to occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds, reach overhead, climb, squat/bend/kneel, and regularly sit, stand, walk/move about
