Job Description
We are an independent National Security nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing research and development in the national interest. Our team provides high-end technical services, innovative research, and prototype solutions to tackle some of the country's most challenging technical issues.
We are currently seeking a full-time Technical Project Coordinator to lead the planning and coordination of field deployment activities for a multi-site system. In this role, you will support the design, planning, and procurement activities related to the fabrication and fielding of an IR calibration system. Your responsibilities will include identifying, tracking, and communicating task statuses among a local team of engineers, coordinating with site points of contact (POCs), and assisting in the execution of tests.
Key Responsibilities
Support the design, build, and test activities for a prototype hardware system.
Identify task requirements, schedules, and milestones to ensure project success.
Coordinate the procurement of components necessary for development and testing.
Collaborate with team members to select candidate deployment sites.
Lead communication and outreach efforts with site POCs to coordinate operations logistics.
Develop and present briefings on project status to key stakeholders.
Support program technical interchange meetings and reviews.
Work effectively with technically and organizationally diverse personnel.
Travel to various sites to perform surveys and ensure successful deployments.
Qualifications
Required:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret / SCI clearance.
Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field (e.g., engineering, meteorology, mathematics, or physics).
At least 8 years of experience supporting complex projects with short deadlines and competing priorities, involving distributed teams.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Willingness to travel regularly across the United States.
Capability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
Preferred:
Understanding of remote sensing principles.
Experience building hardware prototypes and strong problem-solving skills.
Possession of a SECRET Security Clearance.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Compensation
The typical compensation range for this position is $91,000 - $140,000, depending on experience, location, and other factors.
