League Studio is the entity within Riot Games that makes League of Legends, Wild Rift, and Teamfight Tactics along with other games in development. To support the aspirations of these games, the Studio makes significant investments in developing and advancing the League game platform through the Tech Foundations team. Hextech is a team within Tech Foundations that is accountable for the engine, tools, and developer experience for League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics.
As a Technical Product Manager III (TPM) at Riot, you will combine industry knowledge with product leadership to provide players with essential features and supporting systems. As the TPM for Hextech Developer Experience, you will set the product direction, vision, and strategy for the critical systems, frameworks, and tools within the Hextech Game Engine. League Studio developers will depend on your products across the full game development lifecycle from concept through delivery and maintenance. You will be responsible for defining the product requirements and their success metrics. You will ensure there is a clear articulation of the customer value proposition along with a smooth onboarding experience to utilize your products and features.
You will leverage your knowledge of game engines, game development, and game application architecture to build products that allow developers to structure their data and develop game behaviors while managing tradeoffs between performance, data reliability, scalability, and debuggability optimized for the player experience. You will also ensure that the engine architecture can be leveraged efficiently by the around-game client and to create tools and plugins used across League Studios.
You will report to the Director of Product Management of Hextech.
