Position: Structural Forensic Engineer - Licensed PE
We are actively searching for a driven and experienced senior level Civil/Structural Professional Engineer (PE) to join our accomplished multi-disciplinary team of Engineers in Austin, TX. The successful candidate will bring their expertise in the complexities of structural systems and their components, particularly in the field of Forensic Engineerin g. This role will involve working on diverse projects related to residential, commercial, and industrial facilities, as well as marine and inland structures.
Civil/Structural Engineer PE - Responsibilities:
• Apply building codes, technical expertise in structural behavior, and a comprehensive understanding of construction practices to formulate recommendations for repair scopes and conduct thorough cause and origin analysis
• Communicate with clients, code officials, and contractors to produce detailed reports
• Manage multiple projects, completing them in agreed-upon time frame and within budget
• Conduct fieldwork to evaluate and document conditions and damage to structural systems as a result of natural or human origins
• Able and willing to travel as needed on short notice
• Documentation and design drawings evaluation

Civil/Structural Engineer PE - Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited program required
! Master's of Science is a Plus
! Roofing/Cladding experience is a Plus
• Minimum of 10-years Structural Engineering experience in design or structural behavior
• State of Texas Licensed Professional Engineer through NCEES examination. Multiple state registrations (or ability to obtain) is highly desired.
• Knowledge of national building and construction codes - ICC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, NDS
• Proven effectiveness in providing litigation support, delivering expert testimony in depositions or trials, active participation in mediation and arbitration proceedings
