Job Description
We're excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to join our dynamic team! This is a remote contract position where you'll play a key role in tracking and analyzing the financial performance of our company. You'll support various planning and budgeting processes, including the annual budget cycle, monthly reporting, quarterly forecasts, and long-term strategic planning.
Location: Remote
Pay Rate: $35 - $43 per hour
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional FP&A teams to manage annual budgeting, monthly and quarterly forecasting, and financial reviews.
- Analyze and report on the company's financial performance and key metrics.
- Develop a consolidated financial view to gain insights into operational results and business trends.
- Monitor spending across capital expenditures and ensure alignment with company budgets.
- Create complex financial models and business intelligence tools to support strategic initiatives and guide business decisions.
- Assist in preparing presentations for investor and board meetings.
- Provide financial guidance and support to business owners through proactive research and analysis.
- Offer additional ad-hoc support and analysis as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training.
- At least five years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling, ideally within the grocery or retail industry.
- Over three years of relevant experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, investment banking, private equity, or consulting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong finance/accounting skills (e.g., creating sophisticated financial models, understanding balance sheets, cash flow, NPV, IRR, ROI, etc.).
- Ability to synthesize, present, and communicate complex information clearly.
- Working knowledge of SQL or other data management tools is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and influence across various organizational levels.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to summarize results succinctly and perform well under pressure.
