Job Description

We are dedicated to ensuring that all K-12 students have access to high-quality, serving both the private and public sectors. Our innovative and comprehensive five-step coaching process is uniquely tailored to meet the individual needs of each student.

Is This You?

You crave the freedom and flexibility to work from home.
You are passionate about making a positive impact in the world through your unique gifts.
You enjoy guiding others on their journey of transformation and growth.
You are flexible, responsive, and committed to the success of the team.

What We Do

We empower students through online coaching, helping them enhance vital life skills in areas such as:

Planning
Organization
Self-advocacy
Initiation
Time management
And more!

Your Role

You will provide one-on-one remote coaching to students, strengthening their skills. Your responsibilities will include:

Assessing students' initial skills and matching them with an appropriate coach.
Conducting regular coaching sessions and facilitating Family Team Meetings to celebrate progress, set new goals, and assign responsibilities.

Your Accountability

You will be responsible for the successful development of your students' skills, tracking their progress, and evaluating the effectiveness of the interventions you design. Open and clear communication with students, their families, and your team members will be essential.

A Day in Your Life

Your day will primarily consist of remote coaching sessions, reviewing student progress, developing and updating coaching strategies, and documenting outcomes. Collaboration with team members, participation in administrative tasks, and engagement in professional development will also be part of your routine. Most sessions will be held in the afternoon and evening (3 PM - 9 PM PST) with a four-hour window on weekends (Saturday or Sunday, 9 AM - 6 PM PST). Consistent attendance at our Team Meeting every Tuesday from 9 AM - 10 AM is expected, and we prefer candidates committed to prioritizing this meeting. We are particularly interested in candidates looking to transition into a more full-time role.

What You Might Have Done Previously

In a previous role, you may have worked in special education or coaching, providing direct services to students with diverse learning needs. You might have been responsible for creating individualized learning plans, analyzing SPED documents, and tracking student progress.

Considerations for Applicants

Before applying, please reflect on the following:

Handling Demanding Situations: If you find it challenging to work with demanding parents or struggle to set firm boundaries, this role may not be the best fit. Our coaches need to maintain professional yet empathetic relationships with both students and their families.
Schedule Flexibility: This role requires adaptability to accommodate the varying needs of students. If you prefer a rigid work schedule or find it difficult to adjust to changing time requirements, this position may not align with your preferences.
Traveling Frequently: Consistency and dependability are key in this role. If you are often traveling or unable to commit to a stable schedule, it could impact the effectiveness of the coaching process.
Seeking Less Challenge: This position can be demanding and requires a high level of professional resilience. If you're not looking for a role that challenges and pushes you to grow, this might not be the right fit.

Benefits

Fully remote work environment
Flexible working hours
401(k) with employer match
