About You!
We have an opening for an energetic Senior Research Associate , to provide hands-on support for the discovery and development of small molecules for the treatment of rare diseases. The successful applicant will will have a strong biology background and direct experience with compound handling, data organization, record keeping, writing study reports, breeding colony management and executing in vivo studies supporting multiple drug development programs. This individual should have an aptitude for record keeping, be incredibly detail oriented and self-motivated.

You will be responsible for:

  • Maintain tissue sample inventory and coordinate with other departments to support tissue needs across programs.
  • Generate formulations to support internal and external research.
  • Coordinate PK, PD, and formulation stability studies across Biology, DMPK and CMC.
  • Manage focused compound inventory to support biology needs.
  • Accurately record detailed documentation of experimental results via ELN.
  • Monitor animal health, accurately record data, and comply with IACUC regulations to support animal care and welfare.
  • Execute in vivo studies to support the characterization and mechanism of action studies for drug candidates.
  • Collaborate with in vitro biology and translational biology teams to develop ex vivo assays to determine relevant pharmacodynamic biomarkers and mechanism of action of targets.

You have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Master’s degree plus minimum of 2 years of experience or BS plus 6+ years experience in pharmacology, biochemistry, or related life sciences field.
  • Life-science industry in a fast-growing company, with multiple programs
  • Excellent recordkeeping skills with proven track record of success managing multiple databases.
  • Proficient with Smartsheet, GraphPad Prism, Microsoft Office suite, electronic lab notebooks.
  • Experience supporting studies at CROs and academic collaborators by providing reagents, compounds, and documentation.
  • Experience supporting IND enabling studies through proper documentation.
  • Hands on experience with multiple forms of dosing (e.g., PO, IP, IV, SC).
  • Expertise in necropsy, tissue collection and processing.
  • Strong hands-on laboratory and organizational experience with aptitude for record keeping, execution.
  • Neuroscience background with experience collecting brain tissue and/or primary neurons
  • Experience with behavioral assays in rodents.
  • Experience using Western blot, qPCR, ELISA, MSD, immunoprecipitation, luminescence assays, phenotypic assays, flow cytometry.

We are committed to ensuring all employees, both current and future, receive fair and equitable pay. Base pay is one component of the total compensation package, and is determined within a range according to role, level, and location. This provides the opportunity for growth as you gain experience and develop within a role, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. The base pay range for this role is between $85,000 and $102,000 and reflects our good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum target for the position as of the date of posting and may be modified in the future. The final base pay within the range will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and market demand for your expertise.
