About Our Client:

Our client is a rapidly growing consultancy specializing in government cleared projects. Their innovative solutions and dedication to excellence have earned them prestigious industry awards. As part of their expansion, they are seeking a Senior Oracle APEX Developer to support their staffing plan. This role will primarily focus on the conversion and migration of Oracle Reports and Forms to Oracle APEX.

Position Overview:

The Senior Oracle APEX Developer will be responsible for the design, coding, and unit testing of converted/migrated Oracle Reports and Forms. The role involves providing expertise in the development and modification of Oracle Reports and Forms to Oracle APEX, ensuring that systems meet the highest standards of performance and security.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Development: Design, develop, code, test, and debug software, focusing on converting and migrating Oracle Reports and Forms to Oracle APEX.
• Project Management: Plan and schedule new application systems projects, including defining objectives, time frames, costs, and manpower requirements.
• Technical Support: Provide analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.
• Collaboration: Work with users to define system scope and objectives, and coordinate with systems software and operations personnel.
• Documentation: Ensure hazards are identified and documented within software systems. Review and evaluate systems for adherence to safety standards and guidelines.
• Quality Assurance: Confirm design mitigations are captured in the design documentation and verify their implementation. Identify and correct issues uncovered by testing or customer feedback.
• Leadership: Potentially perform as a project lead, overseeing the performance of systems developers/analysts working on specific projects.
• Code Evaluation: Evaluate code to ensure it meets industry standards and is compatible with devices or operating systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: 7+ years of development experience, including 4 years with Oracle APEX and 4 years with Oracle PL/SQL. Experience with Oracle Pro*C is a plus (2 years preferred).
• Certification: IAT Level II (Security+CE) certification.
• Education: Associate's Degree in IT, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Methodology: Experience with Agile methodology.
• Skills: Strong expertise in Oracle APEX, Oracle PL/SQL, and Oracle Pro*C. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a keen attention to detail.
