Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and driven Head of Sales & Business Development to join a leading organization at the forefront of the stablecoin and FinTech space in Africa. Key Responsibilities:
New Business & Partner Acquisition: Identify, qualify, and negotiate contracts with potential partners. Focus on acquiring new business opportunities through strategic prospecting, as well as cultivating long-term partnerships.
Partner Onboarding & Management: Oversee the onboarding process by providing sales and product training to new partners. Regularly track and report on pipeline progress, ensuring partners are supported to achieve success.
Partnership Success: Maintain close relationships with partners and customers, attending key events, meetings, and exhibitions to drive brand visibility and create opportunities for growth.
Revenue Growth: Work toward exceeding revenue targets by identifying new business opportunities, particularly within Financial Institutions and affinity markets.
Collaboration with Product Teams: Partner with internal product teams to align offerings with client needs, ensuring products are developed and adopted effectively.
Contract Negotiation & Terms: Lead negotiations with strategic partners, collaborating with cross-functional teams (marketing, legal, etc.) to finalize formal agreements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct regular reviews with senior leadership, presenting and promoting partnerships while ensuring proper resources are allocated for successful execution.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
5+ years of experience in a Business Development or Head of Sales role, with proven experience in the FinTech/Cryptocurrency space.
Prior experience in Africa is required.
Strong expertise in full-cycle B2B sales, including partner onboarding, integration, and account management.
Experience in project management is an advantage.
A proven ability to close deals and drive growth.
Adaptability and decision-making skills to quickly understand new challenges and influence decision-making across teams.
Extensive knowledge of B2B sales, client management, and third-party distribution channels.
Ability to work closely with product teams to develop solutions and drive API adoption.
Strong understanding of compliance standards, security policies, and best practices within the industry.
Comfortable working in a transparent, non-political culture that values openness and collaboration.
