Key Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in Business Development or a Head of Sales role
- Previous work experience in Africa is essential
- Proven experience in the full-cycle B2B sales process, including onboarding, integration, and partnership management for live accounts
- Project Management experience is a plus
- Strong closing skills with the ability to make quick, informed decisions and influence stakeholders across the organization
- Comprehensive understanding of the FinTech and Cryptocurrency sectors
- In-depth knowledge of B2B sales, client management, and third-party distribution channel management
- Experience in sales and business development within the FinTech industry, particularly in selling API solutions to affinity partners
- Collaborative approach to working with product teams to enhance the use and adoption of API features
- Commitment to ensuring that existing and new Selling Partner solutions align with company policies, security standards, and best practices
- Technical liaison skills across B2B, service engineering, and business teams
- A talent for building innovative solutions that drive growth
- Strong strategic thinking and customer focus to improve performance in a transparent, collaborative environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire new business and partnerships through prospecting, qualifying leads, and negotiating contracts
- Identify target clients and segments for our platform
- Generate and execute new partnerships from initiation to completion, including proposal evaluations and negotiations
- Conduct quarterly reviews with senior leadership, promoting partnerships to ensure alignment with business goals
- Manage partner onboarding through effective sales and product training
- Oversee partner relationships by accurately tracking pipeline progress and reporting weekly
- Drive partner success by visiting partners, customers, and prospects as needed, and attending local events and exhibitions
- Achieve or exceed set revenue targets
- Negotiate business terms and analyze contracts with strategic technology partners, coordinating with administration, marketing, and legal stakeholders as needed
- Generate new business revenue from financial institutions and emerging affinity markets
- Identify and develop product offerings that meet the needs of our clients and their customers
- Regularly review and present partnership progress to senior leadership, ensuring resources are allocated for their success
