Minimum Requirements:

Six years experience in civil Engineering related or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position Description:

There is an immediate need for a part-time research assistant III in the Civil Engineering Department of the Speed School of Engineering at the University of Louisville. This is a part time position for up to 20 hours a week at $24.00/hour.

This position will start approximately Jan 8, 2025 and continue until May 5 2025.

Duties include conducting non-linear finite element analysis of soil and buried structures, writing technical papers for submission significant engineering journals.

Candidate should have lab work and conducting structural experiments in the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) structures Lab.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D in Civil Engineering
  • Experience with COMSOL analysis in soil and buried pipes
  • MTS servo-hydraulic testing experience
  • Visual strain measurement
  • Good writing skills


Compensation Will Be Commensurate To Candidate Experience.
