Caring Transitions of Chapel Hill and Durham delivers professional and courteous services to help seniors and families relocate, downsize, house cleanouts, online auctions, estate sales, and more! In this role, you are part of a team providing excellent customer service to Caring Transitions customers in Chapel Hill, NC and surrounding areas.

Within a customer’s house, you would lead move relocation team to be responsible for sorting, organizing, packing, moving and resettling the move into their new location.

This is a great opportunity for experienced seasoned movers, stay-at-home care-givers, and others who have extra time and want to make a difference in someone's life! Not to mention, we offer very flexible schedules.

Job description (including, but not limited to):

  • Moving supplies/moving boxes within the client's home
  • Lifting of boxes/decor and some furniture within the home and to new location
  • Sort, organize and pack household goods to be moved or sold
  • Safely pack and unpack household goods
  • Disposal of unwanted items for donation or removal
  • Delivery and shipping of items purchased through online auction
  • Interacting with clients, their families, and other coworkers
  • Are you a quick thinker and able to problem solve?
  • And more, no 2 days are alike!

Job Requirements (including, but not limited to):

  • Must be able to have project management skills and be able to lead a team.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable source of transportation.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time; lift 30# or more, go up/down a ladder, work in dirty/dusty setting, and cold/hot settings.
  • Access to a computer for scheduling, timekeeping & project management apps
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be detailed oriented and good with organizational skills; able to follow directions.
  • Bring calm to chaos, can diffuse any difficult situation easily!

Availability and hours:

  • Include your availability when applying.
  • Part-time to full time hours--no two days or weeks are the same with no guarantee of hours.
