Job Description:

  • As a pivotal leader in our cybersecurity initiatives, the Senior Scrum Master / Product Owner will facilitate and guide the development of critical security products. This role combines the rigorous task management of a Scrum Master with the strategic vision of a Product Owner, tailored towards enhancing our cybersecurity posture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sprint Planning and Management: Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups to ensure clarity and productivity among the team.
  • Backlog Management: Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, focusing on critical cybersecurity enhancements and ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bridge between cybersecurity teams and other stakeholders, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and met.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and address cybersecurity risks associated with product development.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the scrum process and product impact on cybersecurity posture.

Performance Indicators:

  • Sprint Success Rate: Measured by the percentage of sprints successfully meeting planned objectives.
  • Backlog Health: Regular assessment of backlog items to ensure they are relevant, prioritized, and estimated accurately.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Measured through regular feedback loops with project stakeholders.
  • Risk Mitigation Effectiveness: Frequency and impact of cybersecurity risks pre and post-mitigation efforts.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor degree in computer science or related field.
  • 10+ year experience as a scrum master/product owner within the cyber security domain.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and technologies.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Certified Product Owner (CPO) or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
