Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm (HYBRID, remote on Tues and Thurs)

Pay: $21/hr

Location: Richardson, Texas

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and organizational policies. Delivers excellent customer service, maintains detailed records, and supports campus staff and employees with payroll-related inquiries.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred
• 1–2 years’ experience in payroll, data entry, customer service, or bookkeeping
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• Knowledge of payroll laws and systems (Skyward preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work well under deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll, including timekeeping data, new hires, terminations, and adjustments
• Manage supplemental/off-cycle payrolls and ensure timely, accurate delivery
• Serve as payroll liaison for assigned campuses and support staff with training and inquiries
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain compliance
• Support audits, year-end W-2 preparation, and documentation as needed
