About the Role
As a Special Education Teacher, you'll play a key role in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students in a virtual setting. You'll use engaging online teaching methods, collaborate with fellow educators, and support families to ensure students receive the best possible education tailored to their unique needs.

What You'll Do
Provide personalized virtual instruction to students with diverse learning needs
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and provide accommodations
Maintain accurate student progress records and documentation
Conduct virtual meetings with parents, staff, and support teams
Offer guidance and strategies to parents/guardians for student learning success
Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities

What We're Looking For
Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
Valid North Carolina teaching license with a Special Education endorsement
At least 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting
Experience in developing and implementing IEPs
Strong technology skills and proficiency in virtual learning platforms
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while staying engaged with a collaborative team
