• Office Equipment Available: Standard OB/GYN clinic and hospital equipment

• Specialty Backup Available: 2 OBGYNs, RN, MA; C-section assist available when on call

• Support Staff Available: RNs, MAs

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

• Credentialing Timeline: 30–90 days typical; case logs required

• Privileging Criteria: Minimum past 12 months—50 vaginal deliveries, 20 C-sections, 25 gynecologic surgeries (must include at least 5 major abdominal cases)

• Immunization Requirements: Must meet contagious disease workforce immunity requirements; offsite drug screen required within 14 days of start

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Lodging covered up to $132/day; rental car up to $40/day; malpractice covered

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Routine vaginal deliveries

• Complicated vaginal deliveries

• Cesarean sections

• Low forceps deliveries

• Breech and multiple births

• Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations

• OB ultrasound performance & interpretation (Level I and II)

• Surgical gynecology: D&C, hysterectomy, uterine suspension, anterior/posterior repair, tumor resection

• Incontinence and infertility procedures

• Repair of bowel injury; appendectomy

• Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor: tubal ligation, LOA’s, chromal tubation

• Operative/major laparoscopic: ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA’s

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Eligible for NM medical license

• Board: BC/BE in OB/GYN; must be certified or actively pursuing ABOG certification (within 5-year limit)

• DEA: Active DEA required

• Certifications: BLS/ACLS typically expected

• Experience: Minimum 1 year; must supply case logs to meet privileging requirements

• Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR; strong patient-care focus; ability to collaborate with team

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care

• Perform routine and complex deliveries, including C-sections

• Manage low-risk and occasional high-risk pregnancies

• Conduct gynecologic surgeries aligned with credentialed privileges

• Collaborate with nursing and provider teams to ensure continuity of care

• Participate in night and weekend call rotation

• Interpret fetal heart rate monitoring (NST/CST/FSE)

• Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds

• Complete documentation in Epic EMR
