One of the most highly respected multi-physician, privately owned dermatology / MOHS practices in Morris County is looking to expand our team. We have a need for a Full-time clinical medical assistant. Candidates with previous experience in dermatology and/or plastic surgery will be given preference, but willing to train the right candidate. We offer a professional, supportive, team-oriented atmosphere, all with a mutual goal of taking compassionate care of our patients.

The Ideal Dermatology Medical Assistant will have the following :

• Experience with assisting a provider in a fast-paced office.
• Experience in assisting provider with procedures such as, biopsies, surgical excisions, MOHS surgery and more.
• A clear understanding of HIPAA and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Detail-oriented and well organized.
• Professional, friendly and have a positive attitude.
• Computer knowledge and EMR experience necessary.
• Excellent patient care/customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work both mornings and evenings.
• Willingness to learn new things.

The Medical Assistant Job description includes but is not limited to :

• Prepare treatment rooms for clinical examinations.
• Accurately and thoroughly document a full medical history and chief complaint.
• Assisting the practitioner with medical/cosmetic procedures including MOHS surgery.
• Prepare biopsy specimens to be sent to a laboratory.
• Suture removal.
• Communicate test results/instructions to patients based on the physician’s directions.
• Prepare prescriptions to be sent to the pharmacy electronically, written or telephoned in.
• Wound care.
• Cleaning and sterilizing instruments.

Ample training time will be provided.

Job Type: Full-time.

Salary: 21.00-25.00
