Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly skilled Medical Record Reviewer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you'll be responsible for reviewing a high volume of medical records to identify pre-existing conditions or diagnoses, supporting the timely processing of healthcare claims. This is a production-based position with flexible working hours, where you'll have the opportunity to meet your goals in a comfortable, self-managed work environment. Please note that candidates will need to provide their own equipment, including a PC/laptop, internet connection, and a private workspace. A minimum of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
Review medical records thoroughly to identify pre-existing conditions or diagnoses.
Ensure accurate and timely assessments to help streamline the healthcare claims process.
Keep detailed and accurate records of all reviewed files.
Manage a high volume of record reviews efficiently, meeting a production goal of at least 4 files per hour.
Utilize company systems and software to manage records and generate reports.
Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure smooth workflows and address any issues promptly.
Qualifications:
A current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license is required. A Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in medical record review or a similar role is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting production targets.
Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications.
Candidates must have their own equipment, including a PC/laptop, reliable internet connection, and a private workspace.
