What You'll Do:
Advocate for Pilots: Provide expert assistance to pilot governing bodies and individual members on all employment-related matters.
Navigate Complex Labor Relations: Handle a wide range of intricate labor relations assignments, often on short notice, utilizing your deep understanding of applicable laws and policies.
Lead Negotiations: Coordinate all activities during contract negotiations, ensuring clear communication and effective representation.
Monitor and Administer Contracts: Ensure proper implementation and adherence to collective bargaining agreements.
Manage FAA Actions: Represent pilots in FAA actions, safeguarding their rights and interests.
Analyze NTSB Hearings: Prepare detailed summaries of NTSB Accident/Incident hearings, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
Provide Expert Counsel: Utilize your legal expertise to formulate decisions and solve problems under tight deadlines and urgent conditions.
Build Strong Relationships: Actively listen, build trust, and adapt your communication style to effectively engage with diverse audiences.
Travel and Represent: Travel frequently to represent pilots and participate in negotiations and hearings.

What We're Looking For:
Education: Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Law (LLM), or similar advanced degree from an approved school of law.
Bar Membership: Member in good standing of the Bar.
Experience: Five (5) years of related experience in labor law and litigation (ten or more years preferred). Aviation experience preferred. Negotiations experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge: Experience in collective bargaining, grievance, and arbitration (preferred). Knowledge of the Railway Labor Act and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) (preferred).
Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to use independent judgment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and online legal research tools.
