JUNIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER
REPORTS TO: Creative Director or Senior Art Director
JOB OVERVIEW
The Junior Graphic Designer is an entry-level position in the creative department. The designer works on assigned projects with consistent direction from an art director or creative director. The designer fulfills layout assignments according to supplied strategic and creative input. The designer works with copywriters and account services to complete projects on time for clients.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Meets with creative team members to understand scope of projects and collaborates as necessary.
· Produces design and illustration from conception to completion as required.
· Designs within and maintains client brand standards.
· Pushes work to be its very best.
· Assists account teams with presentations for creative and new business pitches.
· Consistently presents artwork to creative director and/or art director for feedback / review.
· Responds to feedback and incorporates changes as needed.
· Reviews design setup and proofs copy to make best asset for production.
· Must meet assigned deadlines. Alerts team immediately if deadlines cannot be met for any reason, or if an extension is required.
· Maintains high skill levels in software programs required to perform assigned job functions; Remains proactive by taking tutorials and/or participating in training.
· Assists in archiving and maintaining digital files (projects, photography, illustrations, logo art, typestyles, etc.), of client materials and resources, and maintains said archives to assist other department members in locating necessary files and references.
· Utilizes agency Digital Asset Management system (completes timesheets, uploads completed project files, follows conversations, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS
• Degree in graphic design or related field
• 1-2 years professional and/or internship experience in a graphic design related field
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop especially)
• Experience with additional programs is a plus (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, etc.)
• Knowledge of production processes
• Experience with image retouching/manipulation
