Under general direction of the Office of Communications' Deputy Director, the Information Officer II is responsible for developing new and innovative ideas to enhance internal communications throughout the Department of Justice (DOJ). The Information Officer II is also responsible for directly supervising a team of internal communications analysts in the Internal Communications Section. The Information Officer II’s efforts are vital to promote a positive public perception of DOJ in order to enhance recruitment efforts.
Please note that all new to state employees will be given the minimum salary of the classification. For current state employees and/or those with reinstatement rights, your salary will be determined in accordance with the applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Working Conditions
This position has been designated as eligible for telework and is currently a remote-centered position. The position may however require in-person attendance when requested. The selected candidate would report to Department of Justice headquarters in Sacramento if/when required to attend mandated in-person meetings, trainings, etc. Expenses related to travel to the office for required events are the responsibility of the employee. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time.
