Your New Role: Labor Manager

As our Labor Manager , you will be the maestro orchestrating the smooth flow of our sheet metal field labor. Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and Coordinating: You'll manage manpower schedules by job, assignments, and ensure the right employees with the right skills are on the right projects.
• Assigning and Dispatching: You'll ensure that sheet metal labor is effectively assigned to various jobs.
• Interviewing and Hiring: You'll play a crucial role in recruiting top-tier sheet metal employees.
• Problem Solving: You'll troubleshoot and resolve customer issues with professionalism and efficiency.
• Job Turnovers and Coordination: You'll attend job turnovers, set goals, and coordinate with subcontractors to minimize field conflicts.
• Quality Control: You'll address any quality control issues promptly to maintain our high standards.

Job requirements

• Computer literate with proficiency in Excel Spreadsheets and Word documents a plus
• Understands commercial sheet metal work and can read plans and specifications
• Able to meet the needs of customers in a professional, courteous manner, without compromising ethics and standards of performance
• Able to build and grow a commercial sheet metal team, lowering warranty issues and improving quality control
• Understand mechanical codes, installation procedures, and SMACNA standards
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
