Full-Time Live-In Caregiver / Nanny – Wayne, PA

Compensation: $25–$30/hour
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week (Live-In) Monday-Friday 10am-6pm (flexibility is needed). Occasional weekends for additional hours
Start Date: ASAP
Benefits: 2 weeks vacation, 2-4 sick/personal days, major holidays off and paid
Private bedroom with bathroom provided

Family Overview:

A warm and supportive family in Wayne, PA is seeking a compassionate and reliable full-time live-in caregiver to support both their 85-year-old father, who is showing early signs of dementia, and their 9-year-old son. The elderly father lives in a separate home near the primary residence and requires light supervision, while the son needs after-school care.

Primary Responsibilities:
Elderly Care (Majority of the day):

• Provide companionship and general supervision to an 85-year-old man with early signs of dementia
• Ensure medication is taken twice daily (via automated dispenser)
• Assist with transportation to and from doctor's appointments
• Light household assistance (as needed) related to the elderly father
• Assisting (reminders) with bathing and hygiene
• Provide guidance with tasks (like putting away groceries)
• Going on outings and on walks
• Meal prep

Childcare (Afternoon):

• Pick up 9-year-old boy from the bus stop 
• Supervise him in the grandfather’s home until the mother arrives around 6:00 PM (he will ride his bike and play video games)
• Provide homework support
• Provide a safe and engaging environment after school

Ideal Candidate:

• Kind, patient, and dependable
• Proactive
• Prior experience with elderly individuals with dementia or children preferred (no medical certification required)
• Comfortable driving to appointments (valid driver’s license and vehicle required)
• Organized and proactive
• Comfortable working in a multi-generational household
• Up to date and fully vaccinated, including COVID-19 vaccination
• Must have prior experience
• Provide 3-5 professional references
• Must have U.S. work authorization

Additional Details:

• Live-in position (private room provided)
• No medical background required, but attentiveness and reliability are essential
• Must be able to commit to a full-time schedule and flexible to family needs
