The Financial Risk Analyst is a member of the Corporate Risk Management organization providing mathematical and technical support in the risk management of insurance products. You will work as a member of the team under general direction with a focus on financial risk management and capital management. You will also work in collaboration with experts across the company including finance, investments, actuarial, and accounting to quantify, analyze and influence decisions on financial risk and capital. You will report to the Financial Risk Director.

What you do:

  • Support completion of projects for actuarial and investment functions including:

    • Support and monitor hedge efficiencies

    • Provide risk management tools and studies

    • Develop business and related forecasts

    • Maintain and enhance financial and capital models for reporting and analysis

  • Technical automation research and interpretation:

    • Understand investment and actuarial topics, interpret, and apply relevant accounting literature to them

    • Refine and optimize existing financial models in C# and Excel

    • Perform data inquiries with SQL

  • Communicate risk results to areas including:

    • Department and other support unit personnel

    • Actuaries and other financial professionals

  • You will assist with and perform, or review, financial and capital risk research

  • You will assist with training and direction of entry-level Risk Analysts

What you bring:

  • 2+ years’ experience

  • Four-year degree in Math, Computer Science, Quantitative Finance/Economics, Statistics or related field required

  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B, L-1, TN, etc). If you are currently on CPT/OPT, you are ineligible due to the need for future immigration sponsorship. 

Range: $57,000 -$114,000

Actual base salary may vary based upon factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual incentive program.
