Location: Atlanta, GA Duration: 6 months Job Summary: Field Services Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical assistance and support for our Microsoft OS and Apple iOS environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mobile device support, Computers on Wheels (COWs), peripheral devices, and a basic understanding of business and clinical systems. This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, effective communication, and a commitment to ensuring end-user satisfaction in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: Desktop Support: Provide first-line support for Microsoft OS and Apple iOS devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. Peripheral Device Management: Troubleshoot and maintain peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, monitors, and other hardware components. COW Support: Ensure Computers on Wheels (COWs) are fully operational, including hardware and software maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting. Mobile Device Support: Assist with configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets. System Familiarity: Gain and maintain a basic understanding of business and clinical systems to assist with end-user issues and requests. Troubleshooting and Escalation: Diagnose and resolve Tier 1 hardware and software issues. Escalate unresolved issues to higher-tier support teams as necessary. User Assistance: Provide technical support to end users in person, over the phone, or via remote tools. Educate users on system functionalities and best practices. Inventory Management: Assist in tracking hardware and software inventory, including updating asset records and coordinating equipment replacements or repairs. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support activities, resolutions, and system changes using ticketing and documentation tools. Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members and departments to ensure seamless support and service delivery. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in IT or related field preferred. Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a desktop support role. Experience supporting Microsoft OS and Apple iOS environments. Familiarity with mobile devices, Computers on Wheels (COWs), and peripheral devices. Prior experience working in a hospital setting highly preferred. Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and remote desktop tools. Basic networking knowledge (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, Wi-Fi). Knowledge of IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow) is a plus. Working Conditions: Onsite role requiring regular interaction with end users and equipment. May require occasional lifting of equipment (up to 75 lbs). Potential for off-hours or weekend support as needed.
