Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Estate Planning Attorney to join our team. In this role, you will handle a variety of estate planning matters, including wills, trusts, estate tax, gift tax, and corporate law issues. You will work closely with high-net-worth individuals and families, providing strategic legal guidance to ensure their estate planning goals are met in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal counsel on estate planning matters, including wills, trusts, estate tax, gift tax, and charitable giving strategies.
- Develop and implement comprehensive estate plans for clients, aligning with their long-term financial and personal objectives.
- Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to estate planning.
- Stay up to date on changes in estate planning, tax, and corporate law to provide clients with informed and effective legal strategies.
- Draft, review, and finalize legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
- Advise on corporate legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and related business transactions.
- Represent clients in legal proceedings when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar.
- 1-5 years of experience in estate planning, with a strong understanding of estate tax, gift tax, and corporate law.
- LLM in Estate Planning or Tax (preferred but not required).
- Proven ability to develop and implement estate plans for high-net-worth individuals and families.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- High level of professionalism, ethical integrity, and attention to detail.
- Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus but not required.
