Position Summary

The Director of Strategic & Organizational Development is responsible for the coordination of people focused strategic goals and processes.  Report directly to the CEO and works with multiple stakeholders in cross functional departments. 

 

Key Objectives

 

  • Coordinate, lead, and develop people focused strategic goals and initiatives.
  • Assess current training systems.Develop, plan, and improve delivery and effectiveness of training and core competencies to our team members.
  • Build relationships with principals, presidents, administrators, and stakeholders to expand knowledge and understanding of culture and firm vision.Including assistance with annual strategic goal alignment and initiatives.
  • Positively communicate and implement long term changes to our budgeted and utilized team member hours to enhance alignment with firm culture, staff rewards, and resource allocation.
  • Leverage our investment with the BDO Alliance by improving utilization and understanding of how best to engage our people at all levels.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience in public accounting industry with experience in practice operations
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in consulting, preferred

License/Certifications

 

  • CPA, preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. 
  • Proactive and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. 
  • Self-driven and motivated, demonstrating the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines – independently or in a group environment. 
  • Employs analysis, problem-solving skills and process improvement skills to address team needs, overcome challenges, and recommend solutions. 
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, prepare business cases, and offer insights to help inform leadership decisions. 

 

 

 

 

  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all deliverables. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with team members and stakeholders. 
  • Ability to be comfortable with ambiguity while driving results. 
  • Ability to follow and apply specific rules and regulations. 
  • US citizenship required.

 

Physical Demand

 

  • Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with computer equipment.
  • Required to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Normal visual acuity, ability to talk and hear.

 

Working Conditions

 

  • Hybrid position: required to travel to other Yeo & Yeo office locations as needed.
  • Normal office environment
  • May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment.
