Digital Content Specialist (Part-Time, Remote)
About the Role
We're looking for a creative and detail-oriented Digital Content Specialist to join our Marketing & Communications team. In this part-time, fully remote role, you'll play a key part in shaping and maintaining our digital presence. From managing website updates and crafting compelling email campaigns to creating engaging social media captions and ad copy, you'll help ensure our messaging is fresh, strategic, and impactful.
This position offers up to 35 hours per week and reports to the Integrated Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Web Content Management: Regularly update and maintain website content to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Email Marketing: Write and edit engaging email copy for newsletters, promotions, and event updates.
SEO Optimization: Implement best practices to improve content visibility and search engine rankings.
App Content Management: Oversee and refresh content for the mobile app, including event details, information pages, push notifications, and user experience enhancements.
Blog Writing: Create blog posts aimed at engaging audiences and improving SEO performance.
Ad Copywriting: Develop persuasive ad copy for digital and print marketing campaigns.
Content Strategy: Align content with overall marketing strategies, collaborating with the Integrated Marketing Manager and team.
Editing and Proofreading: Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, is error-free, and maintains a consistent voice.
Online Presence Monitoring: Track and manage digital platforms such as Google Maps, TripAdvisor, Google Reviews, Uber, Lyft, and Apple Maps to ensure accurate information and respond to reviews when needed.
Trend Monitoring: Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in digital content and social media.
Performance Analytics: Assist in tracking and analyzing digital content effectiveness, using data to drive improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail; familiarity with tools like Monday.com is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for crafting engaging and persuasive content.
Experience working with content management systems (CMS).
Knowledge of SEO best practices and tools.
Proficiency in or a willingness to learn Google Workspace.
Ability to collaborate effectively, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Work Environment
Fully remote, part-time role (up to 35 hours per week).
Compensation & Benefits
$24-$27 per hour
