Job Description

OVERVIEW 

The ideal candidate is a type-A, creative, team player who has had five-plus years of experience in the interior design industry. We are looking for a passionate, strategic thinker to help manage all aspects of a project concept through installation.

  • Oversee large-scale, high-end, residential projects

  • Work closely with the Principal and Design Director to coordinate all aspects of projects including space planning, developing the vocabulary of finishes, managing the overall scope, overseeing the design development and other details leading up to the installation

  • Assist in the management of construction administration, procurement and schedule coordination

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships and communications with clients and vendors

  • Site supervision. Taking responsibility for site decisions that need to be modified due to existing building conditions etc.

  • Collaborate with design team to ensure successful outcome of all projects, oversee design assistants and provide assistance with team development

  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure proper execution of FFE selections/original design concepts including developing detailed drawings of custom furniture, coordinating with fabricators, reviewing shop drawings, pricing, and all details leading to timely and accurate deliverables

  • Must have an executive presence

  • Help drive the decision-making process by being direct, confident and concise

WHAT WE’D LIKE TO SEE 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design or other relevant degree

  • 5+ years of experience in interior design industry

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Suite, Outlook, Studio Designer, and Studio Webware

  • Strong expertise and experience in AutoCAD, and 3D modeling programs

  • Knowledge of high-end showrooms and product lines

  • Experience in expediting orders and coordinating installations

  • Background in space planning, furniture selection, custom furniture and color compositions

  • Strong project management skills including scheduling, and coordination

  • Ability to adapt to the needs and taste of client

  • Able to problem solve, and find solutions with limited supervisor direction

  • Highly organized, professional, thoughtful and detail oriented

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and remain flexible in fast paced environment

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • High level of confidentiality

  • Respectful, mature and reliable
