The University of Mount Union seeks a full time, non-tenure track faculty in the Department of Nursing. We seek a colleague excited to contribute to our strategic growth in our FNP and ENP MSN program. Under the guidance and in consultation with the Chair of the Department of Nursing, you will support innovative online teaching, communicate and develop partnerships with external agencies, and coordinate appropriate clinical rotations. An opportunity to be involved with our top-ranked undergraduate program also exists.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities & Functions of the Nursing Faculty:

Under the guidance and in consultation with the Chair of the Department of Nursing, and within the internal governance procedures of the Department, responsibilities and essential functions include, but may not be limited to, the following:

1. Facilitate quality education through online learning, presenting current and accurate nursing content.
2. Evaluate students' progress and achievement of course outcomes.
3. Participating in on-campus intensive experiences to meet course/program objectives.
4. Participate in the selection, coordination, evaluation, and supervision of nursing students during clinical rotations.
5. Mentor and advise students regarding academic progress, clinical experiences, and career goals.
6. Maintain office hours, as required by the university, to be available for students.
7. Maintain open communication/contact with the Nursing Program Coordinator(s) and preceptors regularly.
8. Teaching responsibilities based on the needs of the department; may include undergraduate nursing classes or labs.
9. Participate in department meetings and activities through the Department of Nursing governance structure.
