Job Description

Project Manager

Position Purpose

The Project Manager will organize, manage, and plan complex architectural and engineering projects for clients of the Company. They will ensure all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications and with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.
  • Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegate workflow accordingly.
  • Conduct risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
  • Develops project scopes, schedules, and objectives involving a cross-disciplinary team.
  • Addresses questions, concerns, and/or conflicts throughout the project
  • Acts as a liaison between company, clients, and vendors.
  • Communicate and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to provide information required to develop proposals in pursuit of new projects.
  • Works with construction administration teams to ensure project designs are properly executed.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Travel: 10% up to 25% at times.

  • Willingness and interest in mentoring and developing rising architects and engineers.

Qualifications / Prior Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or similar related field. In lieu of a degree, years of experience will be considered.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA).
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior level Project/Program Management role within the Architecture or Engineering discipline.
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM or similar certification preferred.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance visions, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Prolonged period of sitting or standing at a desk while working on a computer.
